Playing in the Mud

A warm, funny journey from the suburbs to the beautifully unpredictable life of a small farm.

An Amateur Farmer’s Guide How Not to Farm follows a family with a special-needs child as they trade suburban life for a small Texas farm. From alpacas and a llama to a goat that thinks it is a dog, the animals have their own ideas about how things should go. Annette shares the affection, mishaps, and everyday discoveries of learning as a family.
